Who Are the D.A.D.S.?

The D.A.D.S. (Dad Advisors Dedicated Service) are a group of committed Rainbow adults who believe deeply in recognizing and encouraging service in young women. Made up of advisors from across New Hampshire, the D.A.D.S. share a common mission: to support Rainbow girls who live out the organization’s lessons beyond meetings and ceremonies, putting service into action in their everyday lives.

Through mentorship, fundraising, and recognition, the D.A.D.S. work to uplift girls who lead with compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve others.

A Brief History

In 2014, the D.A.D.S. Program recognized a need to formally honor Rainbow girls whose dedication to service often went unseen. While many girls were already contributing countless hours to their communities, there was no specific statewide recognition focused solely on service lived out in daily life.

A group of Past State Dad Advisors came together to change that. Their efforts led to the creation of the D.A.D.S. Association, which has since expanded to include any Rainbow adult who wishes to support this mission. What began as a small initiative has grown into a respected program supported by annual dues and fundraisers, all dedicated to celebrating service and leadership.

The D.A.D.S. Award

The D.A.D.S. Award (Dad Advisors Dedicated Service Award) is presented annually to one Rainbow girl in New Hampshire who exemplifies the core lessons of Rainbow, with a special emphasis on service. Along with the honor comes a cash stipend, which the recipient may use in any way she chooses—whether for education, training, mission work, or other meaningful opportunities.

The first D.A.D.S. Award was presented in 2014, and since then, over $20,000 has been awarded to girls whose actions reflect a strong commitment to helping others. Each year, the award is presented at the New Hampshire Grand Assembly, serving as a reminder that service is not just taught in Rainbow—it is lived.

NH Rainbow Majority Association

Majority Rainbow Girls

The Majority Association was formed in order to be of service to the Grand Assembly of New Hampshire. Throughout the year, members may participate in exemplifying the Majority Degree, raising funds to purchase needed items for Grand Assembly, and supporting the active membership of the Order.

The group is comprised of Rainbow Girls who have obtained their Majority at the age of twenty or twenty-one (with extension) in good standing. Majority Members of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls are entitled to attend closed meetings of the Order, even if they are not a member of sponsoring organizations or a parent or legal guardian of a current member.

As Majority Members, we are dedicated to helping Rainbow Girls reach their full potential in Rainbow, in school, and throughout their lives. In an organization where service is the principal key to success, it is a Majority member’s responsibility to give back what they have been given and to continue their service in order to help the Order and its members thrive.

If you are a former Rainbow Girl, and would like more information, or would like to help members of New Hampshire Rainbow also reach their full potential, contact the Coordinator of Majority majority.nh@gmail.com.
