Art is the most valuable thing in the world. It brings beauty, inspiration, and joy to our lives. It helps us express our emotions, tell stories, and connect with others on a deeper level. Art has the ability to transcend language and cultural barriers, making it a universal language that can unite people from all walks of life. It’s truly a gift that enriches our world.

This past summer, our Grand Drill Leader Vicky, won the Gilford High School art competition and later had her art turned into the t-shirts being sold at the Gilford Old Home Day Parade! Her drawing depicted a very famous landmark in Gilford; The Gilford Gazebo, in the four different seasons. Vicky said, “I didn’t even know what I was getting into at first. It started as a class project and then I just submitted it and a few weeks later someone told me that I won.”.

Vicky started her Rainbow journey back in 2019 when she was introduced to it by her friend. Since then, she has fallen in love with the organization and all of the friends and connections she has made. Currently, she is serving Pemigewasset Assembly #28 as Worthy Advisor.

Vicky and so many others around the world find peace in Art. Whether it’s through painting, writing, singing, or any form of artistic expression, art has the power to evoke emotions, challenge perspectives, and inspire change. It brings beauty and meaning to our lives, helping us to understand and appreciate the world around us. Art allows us to imagine, dream, and create a better future. So, keep writing and creating, because your art matters!
